Motherboard (Gigabyte EP41-UD3L) incompatible with case (Thermaltake wing RS100)?
I have recently bought parts to build a gaming PC, and it seems that the front panel cables are incompatible with my motherboard front panel headers. I have consulted the user's manual for the motherboard and case yet this proved no help at all, following the case's manual instructed me to refer to the motherboards, so I did. I plugged in the cable's according to the manual and simply nothing happened. Everything was powered on the PC was assembled perfectly, just didn't turn on. I later found the motherboard had the cables colour coded also, so I put them in according to that. This time when I turned on the PSU the HDD light stayed red and the power LED stayed blue, yet the power switch still did not work.
My motherboard is the Gigabyte EP41-UD3L and my case is a Thermaltake wing RS100.
If anything is possible, I am willing to try it.

It is really easy.
first thing, the manual is perfect, the header wires from the case all but 1 fit w/o problem.
The HDD LED comes in pin 1 & 3 of a 3 hole connector, you need to use a needle to move the metal insid sleave of pin 1 to the empty plasic hole of pin 2.
but this is really not important yet.
DO THIS;
take all headers out, including, USB, 1394, FRONT AUDIO, FRONT PANEL, ETC.
Take them ALL out.
Connect ONLY THE POWER SWITCH (pwr), doen't matter which polarity, wires from the front panel to the marked header on your mobo,
fire up the machine.
check every thing.
if every thing runs, power off,
connect ONLY the USB AND 1394 HEADERS.
power up.
problem? retrace your steps,
works good?
POWER OFF
Connect the FRONT AUDIO.
check, if ok> power off.
connect all OTHER NON FRONT PANEL headers.
check > ok?
power off.
connect the RESET SWITCH wires,(polarity not important), check
actually reset the puter.
ok?
continue with the POWER LED,here the positive polarity IS important!
reboot, not good? >retrace.
works?
power off.
connect the HDD LED, (polarity IS important), boot, works?
great > your done!
